URL UnMangler

Some forums require users to add special characters to URLs in their posts to prevent live links exposing referring site information. I call this URL Mangling.

A common type of mangling is changing http to hxxp and adding one or more asterisks in random locations throughout the URL.

This means you must copy the URL, paste it, edit it, then submit it in your browser.

This extension adds a menu item "UnMangle URL and Go" which changes hxxp back to http, removes all asterisks, and then opens the UnMangled URL in a new tab with focus.
